I love to scrapbook... one would probably figure that out since I take so many photos, the natural progression would be to scrapbook!, right? Well what has been becoming VERY popular is digital scrapbooking, and well I LOVE that too! I use Creative Memories StoryBook Creator and well I could probably write a book about all the things I love to use this software for... well the time has come to post some of my creations here on my photo blog. When I started my blog I was very focused on photos, and well now I would love to expand to showing off photo editing (using Creative Memories Memory Manager) and digital scrapbooking... it will be tons of fun and I would love to hear your feedback! Also, if you happen to be a digital scrapbooker, well you can see new posts dedicated to digital scrapbooking FREEBIES! Let's start May off right... here are some great Mother's Day freebies!!

4 months into 2011
I had all of these GREAT intentions in the beginning of 2011 and when starting this blog, but I feel as if I have not gotten too far with those intentions or as I recall the post four months ago... SOLUTIONS to a new me! Not resolutions, but solutions to how I wanted to change! Those of you that were with me in the beginning, remember my 3 things I said I was going to do?!...
#1: No diet change has taken place, and no regular exercise has take place -so that means no weight has been lost! I do play soccer every Sunday night (which I LOVE) but I need to get back in the gym and start some regular exercise plan!
#2: I have been couponing but NO WHERE near the amount that takes place to have a commitment to the savings I wanted at the beginning of the year. Man, I need better personal accountability or should I say discipline?! I need to be more organized when it comes to creating my grocery list, meal planning, etc and I feel as if I do that than maybe I will get the savings I am looking for when shopping!
#3: This one I don't even know where to begin? Organization is the death of me sometimes. I start a project and hardly ever finish it. I get so involved in "everything needs a place" that when it comes down to the end of the day I shove everything back into the closet because I cannot find a place for every little thing and I have piles of sorted crap everywhere! I always tell my husband that all he does is "stack and make piles", he thinks if it is off the floor or off the table and in a pile of sorts than its clean... not me!; I want to make sure everything is put away for me to feel like its "clean" and that is what is so hard!
What should I do? Now I am in a rut... four months have gone by since the beginning of the year and I am now thinking I have to go back and start over. Do I need to act like it's the start of 2011 again?! Well than that is what it might have to be. I am nearing the end of "Spring Break" with kids; they are back to school next week, so here comes the personal accountability and discipline...

Alice in Wonderland
Carol and Mary LOVE to play dress up... with all the princesses out there, there is never a shortage of who they want to dress up to be and we probably own every one of those costumes, but ever since Disney's recent remake of Alice in Wonderland (with Johnny Depp) they have wanted to dress up as Alice -if you ask Carol and Mary though, they would like to dress up as Alison Wonderland... thinking that Alice and IN are the SAME word! LOL. Well, I have not found an Alice costume in stores, so when searching online I came across an awesome site for costumes; Costume Discounters. Not only do they have all of the fairy tale costumes that Carol and Mary love, they had a great selection of Alice in Wonderland costumes for adults and kids alike -with all popular characters from the movie. Lastly, they have the most adorable Alice in Wonderland costume that was PERFECT for Carol and Mary's age! Now the battle is going to be... WHO is going to be Alice for Halloween?? Or am I going to have to order another one and have TWO Alice's?!
Thank you to Costume Discounters for allowing me the opportunity to look on their site and picking this costume for my daughter to review.
All opinions stated on this site are solely mine.

Hi Blog, its me -Chrissy
Well it’s been 20 days since my last blog post and my last photo project photo update... I have been COMPLETELY engulfed in organizing a huge silent and live auction fundraiser for my daughters’ elementary school. When my daughters were in preschool I was on the parent board of directors and with my position I organized all of the field trips, fundraisers and the silent auction… so I though how different would it be to “chair” the auction at the elementary school?! Well let me tell you there is a HUGE difference and a hell of a lot more time, planning, time, organizing (and did I say time?) invested! Well on Saturday, March 26th we held the auction and it was a huge success! I will have to post about the specifics soon, but now that it is over I have more of my time back to dedicate to my blog, my photography and well life in general! I wanted to tell you all I am back, I am here and ready to blog! Look for my posts soon of my photo project, a review for http://www.costumediscounters.com/ (my FIRST review) and a follow up to my couponing!!

punishments & sticking to them
Sticking to the punishments may be harder for the parents than for the kids, or that is what I am learning now! Let me start at the beginning...
About a week ago we found that Mary (my 5 year old youngest daughter) wrote her name on the wall in our Living room and she colored on the couch with a washable marker (just about a 6 in line, nothing more on the couch). Here is her masterpiece of a name on the wall:
On top of her drawing on the wall/couch, she has been doing other things... like throwing some food from dinner on the floor so she doesn't have to eat it and hiding candy wrappers behind the couch to name a few.
Well my husband and I talked to her about her actions and we did not give her anymore of a punishment than being sent to her room at that time. But I thought by confronting her and talking to hear about what she is doing and trying to make sure she changes her ways, that it would be a good way to stop her "I am going to do what I want to" attitude.
Then I was sick, I pretty much could not do ANYTHING for like three days straight! And well everyone knows just because you are is sick that does not mean everything stops... my husband still had to go to work and I had to be with the girls -sick- during the girls' Mid-Winter WEEK break from school, so they were home 24-7! During that time Mary decided that she would become an graffiti artist again and not only write her name but also her sisters name on 3 - count them THREE - other places throughout the house. The dining room, the stairway and the other wall in the living room... this time with PERMANENT marker!
So this time, my husband and I sat her down, talk to her again and this time had to give a punishment, a harsh punishment if you look at it in the eyes of a 5 year old. My two daughters love to color, that is their usual past time, pretty much a few hours out of the day are spent coloring and doing crafts and we have never really had a problem with them coloring on anything that they were not suppose to... so when we told my 5 year old that she could not use, pencils, pens, markers or crayons at all except if she had (kindergarten) homework to do set was devastated! On top of that we told her she could only watch one 1/2 hour of TV a day. Then we made her try and clean the walls (of course it did not come off I'll have to get a magic eraser or something).
My point now is that punishments seem to be harder for the parents because the last two days I have spent my time telling her "No, you cannot watch TV", "No you cannot color", "Please find something to do", "You have a million toys in your room, go play with them", etc. Let's hope she is learning something from this whole thing, right?
